स्मिता श्रीवास्‍तव, मुंबई। बतौर निर्देशक आनंद एल राय ने रांझणा, तनु वेड्स मनु, तनु वेड्स मनु रिटर्न्‍स जैसी हिट फिल्‍में दी हैं। इन सभी फिल्‍मों की कहानी हिमांशु शर्मा ने लिखी थी। छोटे शहर में गढ़ी यह कहानियां प्रेम और शादी के ईदगिर्द रही हैं। अब इस जुगल जोड़ी की फिल्‍म अतरंगी रे डिज्‍नी प्‍लस हॉटस्‍टार पर रिलीज हुई है। इस फिल्‍म का ट्रेलर काफी पसंद किया गया था। पर यह ट्रेलर इतनी साफगोई से काटा गया था कि फिल्‍म का असल मुद्दा उसमें कहीं नजर नहीं आया।

कहानी का आरंभ बिहार के सिवान में घर से भागी रिंकू (सारा अली खान) और उसके पीछे-पीछे भाग रहे रिश्‍तेदारों से होता है। इस भागादौड़ी में वह स्‍टेशन पहुंच जाती है। उसी दौरान एस वेंकटेश विश्वनाथ अय्यर उर्फ विशु बाबू (धनुष) ट्रेन से दोस्‍तों साथ उतरता है। वहां पर वह रिंकू को बोतल फेंक कर मारते हुए देखता है। घर आने पर रिंकू की नानी (सीमा बिस्‍वास) चप्‍पलों से उसकी धुनाई करती है। रिंकू की बातों से पता चलता है कि वह पहले भी कई बार अपने आशिक साथ घर से भागी है। वह जादूगर सज्‍जाद अली (अक्षय कुमार) से बेपनाह मुहब्‍बत करती है। अनाथ रिंकू की हरकतों से नानी बेहद परेशान है। वह दो दिन के भीतर रिंकू की जैसे-तैसे शादी कराने को कहती है। बिहार में प्रचलित पकड़वा विवाह की तर्ज पर विशु बाबू का अपहरण करके रिंकू के साथ जबरन शादी करा दी जाती है। जबकि दिल्‍ली में डॉक्‍टरी की पढ़ाई की रहे विशु की एक सप्‍ताह बाद सगाई होनी होती है। दिल्‍ली पहुंचने पर रिंकू अपने ब्‍वायफ्रेंड के साथ जाने की बात कहती है। वह विशु के साथ उसकी सगाई में भी जाती है और जमकर नाचती है। रिंकू की इस प्रेम कहानी में कई ट्विस्‍ट और टर्न आते हैं। इनमें सारा की जिंदगी से जुड़ा पहलू कुछ लोगों को चौंका सकता है।
